Step 1:

Obtain and install 123 DVD Converter.

2-1 Start the program.

2-2 Set the output format to AVI (DivX, Xvid...).

2-3 Load your DVD.

Select the root directory of your DVD disk in the previous step and press OK. The root directory could be either your DVD drive or the DVD folder which contains a standard DVD movie.

Now your DVD is ready to begin. Notice that selected title has the longest time in duration. This is probably going to be the one you want to convert.

RIGHT-CLICK on the title that you want to convert to change the output name.

Enter the new output name.

Press the "Options" button to configure the AVI video settings.

Set the video codec to XviD.

If you cannot find Xvid in the list, please click here install it.

If your source DVD is NTSC (USA), set the frame rate as 29.97/23.976 and the resolution as 720/480.

If your source DVD is PAL (Europe and the rest of the world), set the output frame rate as 25 and the resolution as 720/576.

Only if you found that video is not in sync with the audio, try the four options (None, Auto, Enhance, Force) in the drop-down list of "Audio Problem" each on 2 minutes piece and see which one works.

Double-check the title, the output type, the subtitle, set the output directory, and press the Start button.

Sit back and watch your movie convert before your very eyes!

Note that Xvid has a status activity feedback window. You may just close it.
